The After Hours Poetry Festival in Casa Blanca on April 18th, featuring Nikki Grimes and the young poets of Casa Blanca and the greater Inland Empire, was magic, it was blessed, it was holy . . .
Standing room only. 21 poets. 3 hours. Beautiful venue--cool, hip--a library transformed. It was a night of surprising talent and their unexpected beauties. Nights like that don't happen very often.
But this was only the beginning. We will work to create more opportunities that might bless Casa Blanca and participate in the work that God is already doing in the neighborhood.
